LG Thrill 4G Release Date Slides to August 21

An internal memo allegedly from Radio Shack announced a new release date of August 21 for the LG Thrill 4G because of “a launch delay from AT&T.” The LG Thrill 4G is supposed to be launched this coming August 7.

The memo also states that Radio Shack will continue to accept preorders for the LG Thrill 4G until August 15. An accompanying purchase of a Radio Shack Gift Card worth US$50 is required for handset reservations. Those who have made earlier reservations for the LG Thrill 4G will still have a handset reserved for them for store pick-up on August 21.


The LG Thrill 4G, also known as the LG Optimus 3D, has been touted as AT&T’s “first dual-core, dual-channel RAM processor” targeted at mobile entertainment fans, particularly those who want a smartphone with a glasses-free 3D touchscreen. Android 2.2.2 Froyo is onboard, running on top of a dual-core, 1.0-GHz Texas Instruments OMAP 4430 processor. An update to Android 2.3 Gingerbread is allegedly coming up.
The handset also has a 5-megapixel stereoscopic 3D primary camera (i.e., dual-lens) capable of capturing video at 720p HD quality and a 1.3-megapixel front camera for video calls.
Some have speculated that the delay may just be specific to Radio Shack but not for AT&T, which is
rumored to release the LG Thrill 4G earlier than Radio Shack’s new release date for it. According to a forum participant who claims to work for an AT&T-owned store, they have received a “rotation device,” which employees use to know more about how the handset works. The forum member said that rotation devices normally arrive a week before product launch. This means–possibly–that the delay is just for Radio Shack. But, then again, don’t take our word for it.

Adobe Launches HTML5 Rich Media Editor


Planting the seeds to potentially disrupt its own successful franchise in Flash-based animation, Adobe has released a preview version of a new application, called Adobe Edge, designed for assembling dynamic Web content using HTML5 and related open Web standards, the company announced Monday.

"This is a motion and interactive tool for designers who want to build interactive Web content using Web standards," said Adobe Group Product Manager Devin Fernandez.

Traditionally, Web designers have used Adobe Flash, or a competitor such as Microsoft Silverlight, to add snazzy animated and interactive content to Web pages, in the form of introductory splash screen pages, interactive charts, short videos or banner advertisements. Adobe estimates that 99 percent of all desktop computers possess the player needed to run Flash files.
Over the past few years however, the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) and other standards bodies have developed a handful of specifications that can be used to make similar rich content. Browser makers are incorporating these standards--such as HTML5, the Canvas tags, JavaScript and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets)--into their own browsers, eliminating the need for a separate plug-in, such as the Flash player.
Also not helping Adobe's fortunes any has been Apple, whose CEO, Steve Jobs, has criticized Flash in the past for being too buggy, urging developers to move to HTML5 instead.
"More workloads that were previously reserved for Flash are now being done with Web standards," Fernandez admitted. "We see that as a huge opportunity for the company, to help people take advantage of HTML5."

This tool uses HTML5, CSS and Javascript to insert animated Web content directly onto an HTML page. In an approach similar to Adobe's Flash authoring tool, Edge permits a developer to change the attributes of an image or an HTML element over a pre-set length of time, giving the resulting Web page an animated feel.

"Adobe has shown that it can pivot nicely to new trends. It shows that they can remain the premier tools vendor no matter what the technology inside is," said IDC applications development analyst Al Hilwa. "There are very few companies in tune with designer needs and sensibilities as much as Adobe is, and this tool really shows it. It brings the time-line model familiar to many Flash developers to the new world of HTML5 and JavaScript, while retaining the integrity of the code."
Adobe does not expect that Edge will supplant Flash entirely, at least not in the near future. "Flash technology will remain a key component for specific use cases, such as high-end video or gaming," Fernandez said. "We definitely see HTML5 and Flash continuing to co-exist, and so we'll continue to work on solutions for both at Adobe. Users will decide what technology they will use."

The preview edition is available as a free download. Adobe expects to release the final commercial version sometime in 2012, Fernandez said. Versions will be available for both Microsoft Windows and Apple Macintosh computers.

Adobe Systems has dipped its toes in the HTML5 pool, but starting today it's taking the plunge with the public preview release of software called Edge.

For years, the company's answer to doing fancy things on the Web was Flash Player, a browser plug-in installed nearly universally on computers for its ability to play animated games, stream video, and level the differences among browsers.

But allies including Opera, Mozilla, Apple, Google, and eventually even Microsoft began to advance what could be done with Web standards. The three big ones here are HTML (Hypertext Markup Language for describing Web pages), CSS (Cascading Style Sheets for formatting and now animation effects), and JavaScript (the programming language used for Web apps).
Notably, these new standards worked on new smartphones when Flash either wasn't available, ran sluggishly, or was barred outright in the case of iPhones and iPads. Adobe is working hard to keep Flash relevant for three big areas--gaming, advanced online video, and business apps--but with Edge, it's got a better answer to critics who say Adobe is living in the past.
"What we've seen happening is HTML is getting much richer. We're seeing more workflow previously reserved for Flash being done with Web standards," said Devin Fernandez, product manager of Adobe's Web Pro group.
The public preview release is just the beginning for Edge. It lets people add animation effects to Web pages, chiefly with CSS controlled by JavaScript. For example, when a person loads a Web page designed with Edge, text and graphics elements gradually slide into view.
It all can be done today with programming experience, but Adobe aims to make it easier for the design crowd used to controlling how events take place by using a timeline that triggers various actions.

As new versions arrive, more features will be added, a
nd Adobe plans to begin selling the finished version of Edge in 2012.
"[For] the first public preview release, we focused on animation," Fernandez said. "Over the public preview period, we'll be adding additional functionality. We'll be incorporating feedback from the community, taking those requests into account."
The Edge preview product now is available at the Adobe Labs site. Adobe showed an early look at Edge in June.
What exactly is next in the pipeline? Adobe has a number of features in mind, including the addition of video and audio elements alongside the SVG, PNG, GIF, and JPEG graphics it can handle now.

Other items on the to-do list:
• More shapes than just rectangles and rounded-corner rectangles.
• Actions that are triggered by events.
• Support for Canvas, an HTML5 standard for 2D drawing surface for graphics, in particular combined with SVG animation. (Note that Adobe began the SVG effort while before it acquired Macromedia, whose Flash technology was a rival to SVG.)
"We still have a lot of features we have not implemented," said Mark Anders, an Adobe fellow working on Edge.
The software integrates with Dreamweaver, Adobe's Web design software package, or other Web tools. It integrates its actions with the Web page so that Edge designers can marry their additions with the other programming work.
The software itself has a WebKit-based browser whose window is prominent in the center of the user interface. A timeline below lets designers set events, copy and paste effects to different objects, and make other scheduling changes.
Adobe, probably not happy with being a punching bag for Apple fans who disliked Flash, seems eager to be able to show off Edge to counter critics' complaints. The company will have to overcome skepticism and educate the market that it's serious, but real software beats keynote comments any day.


Anders, who before Edge worked on Flash programming tools and led work on Microsoft's .Net Framework, is embracing the new ethos.
"In the the last 15 years, if you looked at a Web page and saw this, you would say that is Flash because Flash is the only thing that can do that. That is not true today," Anders said. "You can use HTML and the new capabilities of CSS to do this really amazing stuff."

Apparrently thet leaks of information about a product that will be released increasingly occur. This time the 'victim' is Apple. On Wednesday morning, a blog called iDownloadBlog find pictures of the iPod Touch that has 3G facility which inadvertently uploaded by Apple's iTunes site.

Then quickly the image was pulled from the iTunes site and replaced with a new image. But the scenery is only applicable to the iTunes site visitors from North America. English version of the iTunes site without hesitate iPod Touch that displays images.

Leakage of information is increasingly confirming previous rumors that say that the iPod Touch will have a 3G facility and will be released in September. Actually, the 3G facilities on the iPod Touch can be known from the IOS 5 beta 4. There are options to check the appropriate option on the cellular and GPS iCloud and the settings menu.

From these findings, it appears that Apple will not merilisi iPhone Nano, they prefer to complete the hardware on the iPod Touch so it can support and iMessage Facetime through 3G wireless networks. True or not this information, we wait until September.

At One Month, Google+ Already a 'Major Player'


Google+ on Thursday hit its one-month birthday and is already a major social networking player, analysts say.
Google released its much-anticipated social network on June 28. Google+ quickly grabbed headlines, gained 10 million users in its first two weeks (and another 10 million since then) and had people seeking invitations to its field trial from total strangers.
Oh, and it's gained a lot of interest in the much-sought-after and lucrative enterprise market. Businesses have been clamoring to set up Google+ accounts, even though the network has asked companies and organizations to wait until a business version is ready in a few months.
"With tens of millions of users and Google behind it, Google+ has become a major player," said Rob Enderle, an analyst with the Enderle Group. "It has a good vibe going for it. The product is embracing concepts from Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook.... The end result is a higher average quality of information and less overall information traffic, making the service more useful for most."
All of this fanfare and success means Facebook, which had been skating along with nary a serious rival, is having to make room for a new competitor.
"It's been going very well for Google+," said Dan Olds, an analyst for The Gabriel Consulting Group. "I'm not sure [Google] can ask for much more at this point -- although I'm sure they will."
Olds pointed out that the new network's technical rollout has gone very smoothly. There have been no outages or security breaches.
"It looks like everything that's supposed to work is working," he added. "This is crucially important at launch, since it ensures that news coverage concentrates on the Google+ story, rather than focusing on bad technical execution or something like that."
Google+ did have to deal with a report from Hitwise, an Internet traffic tracker, this week that its traffic had dipped. Hitwise reported that for the week ending July 23, Google+ had 1.79 million visits, down 3% from the week before. The report also noted that the average time spent on the site had fallen 10% that week to 5 minutes and 15 seconds.
Also this week, some Google+ users were frustrated and angry that the site was shutting down accounts that didn't conform to its controversial naming policy. The network, however, moved quickly to modify its policy to smooth things over.
Despite that controversy, analysts say Facebook must be nervously eyeing its new competitor and trying to figure out how to stay a few steps ahead of the fledgling site.
Just a week after Google+ was introduced, for instance, Facebook announced a new partnership with Skype that brought video chat to Facebook. At the same time, the company unveiled a new group chat feature for the site.
Though the partnership must have been in the works for some time, the timing of the announcement seemed like a direct strike at Google+, which sports a feature called "Hangouts" that supports online conference calls.
Mark Zuckerberg, co-founder of Facebook, said during the Skype announcement that users should expect a lot of new features in the coming months.
Olds said Google+ clearly has become a big enough player in the market to make Facebook nervous... and to make it work a little harder. And that will only be a boon for social networking users.
"I think that Facebook is taking Google+ very seriously," Olds added. "Facebook would be insane not to consider Google and Google+ as their most formidable competitor to date. This isn't going to be just a six-month effort from Google. With Google+, they're in the social networking game for the long haul."
However, Enderle said Google's big challenge at this point is sustaining the momentum behind Google+. And that, he said, means staying away from privacy pitfalls with user data, and paying attention to customer satisfaction.
As for Olds, he noted that Google needs to start using all of its assets to promote Google+. "They want to start combining other Google tools, like Google Earth or Google Maps, into the mix," he said. "And they need to get the independent developers involved, as well."

iPhone 5 to launch in early September, report says


Hang on to your hats, because there's another rumored release date for Apple's next-generation iPhone.
The latest comes from the China Times (translation), which says that Apple plans to produce 4 million units of the device following a production run of 400,000 test units. That's all to ready the device for a release in the second week of September.
Other tidbits from the report, which was picked up this morning by Macrumors, include Apple purportedly working to ready another version of the iPad to bring to market "before Thanksgiving." That would give Apple a late-year product launch that--as the last two iPad launches have proven--would make for a tough-to-get gadget during the frenzied holiday shopping season.
The China Times report has some weight in terms of timing. Apple has made a habit of holding its annual iPod-focused music event in September, usually during that first or second week of the month. Apple has also promised to release iOS 5 in "the fall," which officially begins a few weeks later.
Turning to CNET's lovingly updated iPhone 5 rumor roundup, this is the latest in a series of September mentions, the earliest being a Reuters report saying that the new device would be ready to go by then. In early May, Jefferies & Co. analyst Peter Misek weighed in, saying something akin to an iPhone 3GS-like update would be hitting store shelves in September. That was followed just a few days later by a Digitimes report, echoing the same timeline and noting that it would be an incremental update.
In late June, a Bloomberg report said that a new iPhone would be hitting in September to coincide with iOS 5's debut. Digitimes followed, saying Apple had actually placed an order for 15 million of the devices in time for a September release, well above what China Times is now reporting. All this was topped off with a U.K. job posting earlier this month looking to staff up iPhone sales specialists for Apple's retail stores to work from mid-August through the end of October for "an exciting project." Two separate reports from Macrumors and Boy Genius Report later noted that Apple and AT&T were readying employees for something big right around that same time.
As for an iPad 2 follow-up this year, this is not the first such murmur. A report from Digitimes at the start of this month said Apple was pulling together materials to start work on an iPad follow-up, in time for an October release. Days later, blog This is my next chimed in, claiming Apple was planning to launch an HD model of the iPad aimed at the high-end market, sporting a display with double the resolution that could run pro-level photo and video applications. That model was said to be launching in the fall, alongside a new iPhone.

Apple has released a new iPhone every year since unleashing the original model on June 29, 2007. The latest, the iPhone 4, is now more than a year old. The company reported sales of 20.34 million iPhones in its most recent fiscal quarter, which was up from 18.65 million units the quarter before. While Apple doesn't break out those sales in terms of the differing models, it did say that it's now up to 220 million iOS devices total.

The Battle Of The Keyboard Tablets: The Asus Eee Pad Transformer and The Lenovo Thinkpad Tablet



It looks like a new Android-based tablet enters the market each week, and they may all seem to look the same on the outside. Recently though, we have had a lot of very interesting new entrants, as seen by a comparison between our two current pugilists, the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer and the Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet. What sets them apart from other tablets is that both of them come with an optional dock accessory that turns them into road warriors fit for business types who want to up their productivity.

They also both have a 10.1-inch touchscreens and are powered by Honeycomb. Let’s see if they match pound-for-pound in other areas, shall we?

Software

The software on the Transformer is mainly a ‘vanilla’ version of the Honeycomb OS, despite the fact that ASUS features its Waveshare UI on the Eee Pad Transformer. Extras include a file manager, the MyLibrary books app, as well as a MyNet app for streaming multimedia content.

The MyCloud app features one year of unlimited storage, perfect for storing your documents in the cloud. There have been reports that the interface is a bit sluggish at times though this was only when it was docked into the keyboard.

The Transformer also has one neat trick up its sleeve. The MyWater wallpaper lets you slosh ice cubes around as if you had a drink in your hand but the really nifty part is that the water level is an indicator of how much battery life is left on your device.

On the other hand, Lenovo uses a Launch Zone on the ThinkPad tablet, basically a fancy launcher of sorts. This software has five customizable areas for reading, watching, listening, email and surfing the net. Lenovo also offers 2GB of free cloud storage with each ThinkPad Tablet purchase.

Hardware

The Eee Pad Transformer is quite the hefty device at 10.7 x 6.9 inches. Clocking in at 0.68kg, this device is even heavier than the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1v. The tablet itself has a microSD slot, a headphone/mic jack and a mini HDMI port

The ASUS tablet, as you now well know, takes its name from its optional keyboard dock which transforms it from tablet mode to notebook mode.The keyboard dock comes with two full-sized USB ports, an SD card slot, a trackpad and a built-in battery. ASUS says the battery offers an additional six and half hours of use.

In the other corner, Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet has a thick design that reflects the Lenovo’s ThinkPad range of business notebooks. It’s slightly heavier than both the iPad 2 and the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer, tipping the scales at 0.715kg and showing off a 10.3 x 7.2 inch build. For ports, it has a standard headphone jack, one full USB 2.0 port, a micro-USB port,

The ThinkPad keyboard is also an optional purchase like for the Transformer, but one that IBM diehards will likely shell out for. It features the standard ThinkPad layout as well as the trademark red trackpoint.

For storage, each tablet has multiple options: the Eee tablet offers 16GB and 32GB variants while the Lenovo one lets you choose between 16GB, 32GB and 64GB internal storage. They also share all the usual hardware included for tablets: dual cameras (the rear one is 5MP), Wi-Fi N and Bluetooth connectivity. The ThinkPad offers 3G connectivity for certain models, something that the Transformer doesn’t have.

Screen

Both devices are powered by NVIDIA Tegra 2 and sport a 10.1 inch, 1280 x 800 screen. The ThinkPad has a TFT and Gorilla Glass protected screen while the Transformer is LED backlit.

The Eee Pad Transformer’s display gives off vibrant color and crisp text if used indoors, but it’s not ideal for use under direct sunlight due to its glossy surface. The display of the ThinkPad Tablet is likely to perform the same as the Eee Pad Transformer. Being a business tablet, a matte screen on the ThinkPad Tablet would make it much easier to view in direct sunlight.

Battery Life

The ASUS Eee Pad Transformer guarantees 9 hours of video playback. However, the keyboard has its own battery that offers and added 6.5 hours of use. If both the tablet and the keyboard dock batteries are fully charged, the tablet draws power from the keyboard dock in order to maintain power for tablet-only use. On the other hand, Lenovo guarantees 8 hours of video playback on the ThinkPad Tablet.

The ASUS Eee Pad Transformer, however, does not charge via USB connection. The upside to this is that it can charge much faster than a USB connection though you might be hard pressed to power it up when you leave your charger at home. It’s not yet known if the ThinkPad Tablet charges through its usual micro-USB connection, proprietary connector or both.

Costs And Availability

The ASUS Eee Pad Transformer is now available and costs $599 for the 16GB Wi-Fi model, and $799 for the 32GB Wi-Fi model that comes with optional keyboard dock. The keyboard dock accessory can be bought separately for $149-$199.

The Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet pricing begins at $599 for the 16GB Wi-Fi only model while $729 for the 16GB Wi-Fi + 3G model. The 32GB Wi-Fi + 3G model will sell for $839.

Microsoft's Web map exposes phone, PC locations


Microsoft has collected the locations of millions of laptops, cell phones, and other Wi-Fi devices around the world and makes them available on the Web without taking the privacy precautions that competitors have, CNET has learned.

The vast database available through Live.com publishes the precise geographical location, which can point to a street address and sometimes even a corner of a building, of Android phones, Apple devices, and other Wi-Fi enabled gadgets.

Unlike Google and Skyhook Wireless, which have compiled similar lists of these unique Wi-Fi addresses, Microsoft has not taken any measures to curb access to its database. Google tightened controls last month in response to a June 15 CNET article, and Skyhook uses a limited form of geolocation to protect privacy.

Microsoft assembled the database through crowdsourced data gathering from Windows Phone 7 devices and through what it calls "managed driving" by Street View-like vehicles that record Wi-Fi signals accessible from public roads. Its Web interface is, the company says, intended to provide "search results, weather, movie times, maps and directions based on a device's current location."
Stanford researcher Elie Bursztein says Microsoft should adopt the same location-privacy protections that Google implemented last month.
CNET has confirmed how Live.com's interface works independently and also with Elie Bursztein, a postdoctoral researcher at the Stanford Security Laboratory who recently analyzed Microsoft's application programming interface, or API. He plans to summarize his findings in a related talk with two other researchers at the Black Hat security conference in Las Vegas next week.
Bursztein recommended that Microsoft adopt some of the same limits that its competitors already have. "I think what Google does is the smart thing to do," he said. "It's a pretty good solution."

Reid Kuhn, a program manger with Microsoft's Windows Phone Engineering Team, sent CNET this statement: "To provide location-based services, Microsoft collects publicly broadcast cell tower IDs and MAC addresses of Wi-Fi access points via both user devices and managed driving. If a user chooses to use their smartphone or mobile device as a Wi-Fi access point, their MAC address may also be included as a part of our service. However, since mobile devices typically move from one place to another they are not helpful in providing location. Once we determine that a device is not in a fixed location, we remove it from our list of active MAC addresses."
Microsoft did not, however, respond to questions whether its database includes only Wi-Fi devices acting as access points, or whether client devices using the networks have been swept in as well--something that Google did with its Street View cars. A May blog post touts "Transparency About Microsoft's Practices," but doesn't provide details.
If Microsoft collects and publishes only the Wi-Fi addresses of access points, the privacy concerns are lessened. But millions of phones and computers are used as access points--tethering is one example, and the feature is built into Apple's OS X operating system--meaning that their locations could be monitored.
It's true that Wi-Fi addresses, also called MAC addresses, aren't typically transmitted over the Internet. But anyone within Wi-Fi range can record yours, and it's easy to narrow down which addresses correspond to which manufacturer.

Someone, such as a suspicious spouse, who can navigate to the About screen on an iPhone or a laptop's configuration menu can obtain it in a few seconds as well. And hobbyist hacker Samy Kamkar created a proof-of-concept code last year that uses what's known as a cross-site scripting attack to grab the location of Wi-Fi routers that can be seen from an unsuspecting visitor's computer.

A Microsoft representative pointed CNET to a list of Web pages, including one describing how geolocation works in Internet Explorer 9 and another discusses Windows Phone 7 and geolocation. Microsoft does not appear to provide an opt-out mechanism that would allow someone to remove his or her Wi-Fi address from the Live.com database.
Microsoft's database extends beyond U.S. locations. A CNET test of a range of Wi-Fi addresses used by HTC devices showed that Live.com returned locations linked to street addresses in Leon, Spain; Westminster, London; a suburb of Tokyo, Japan; and Cologne, Germany.
Some Wi-Fi addresses appeared to change positions, meaning the Live.com database--located at http://inference.location.live.com--could be used to track the movements of a handheld device. In addition, some Wi-Fi addresses were added or deleted to the database over the period of a few days.

Google has taken multiple privacy steps that Microsoft has not, including using geolocation to filter requests (to find out where a wireless device is, you already have to know it's approximate location to about one city block). Another is that the search company's database does not appear to include the Wi-Fi addresses of Android devices acting as wireless hotspots.
Here's how it works: iPhone and Android devices automatically change their Wi-Fi MAC address when acting as an access point. Android devices appear to choose a MAC address beginning with 02:1A.

Facebook Woos: Pertarungan dengan Google

Meskipun Google meminta perusahaan untuk menunda menggunakan jaringan sosial Google + , saingannya Facebook telah mulai membantu perusahaan mendapatkan tempat berbisnis difacebook.

Permainan Nama Google+: Siapakah Yang Akan Jadi Pecundang?

Pengenalan Debug


Menggunakan DEBUG

Debug adalah suatu program kecil yang telah ada sejak MS-DOS versi 3.0 dikeluarkan. Sampai sekarangpun program Debug tetap disertakan pada saat anda menginstall MS Windows. Program ini digunakan untuk melihat isi suatu blok memori (view), mengubahnya (edit), dan menjalankan (run) instruksi-instruksi yang ada di blok tersebut.

Cara menjalankan Debug :

1. Klik ‘Start’

dan kemudian pilih ‘Run’. Dari window ‘Run’ ketikkan ‘Debug’ dan klik tombol ‘OK’.

Cara tersebut akan memanggil program Debug dengan menampilkan cursor berbentuk strip (-), ketik tanda Tanya (?) untuk memunculkan command-command debug.

Berarti mulai offset 0100 sebanyak 16 byte (10 heksa) bandingkan dengan offset 0200. Hasil yang dimunculkan hanyalah nilai-nilai yang berbeda setiap alamat.

Apabila dilayar tidak memberikan reaksi apapun selain kembali ke prompt '-' atau hyphen, berarti kedua blok memori persis sama.

Dump pada debug berfungsi untuk melihat isi blok memori.

Hasil yang diperoleh dari tampilan tersebut, terbagi menjadi 3 bagian, yaitu :

Ø  Bagian kiri : menampilkan alamat-alamat memori dengan format segment:offset
Ø  Bagian tengah : menampilkan angka-angka dalam heksadesimal sebagai isi dari alamat-alamat memori
Ø  Bagian kanan : menampilkan kode-kode karakter ASCII sebagai terjemahan dari angka heksadesimal tersebut Debug hanya akan memperlihatkan 96 jenis karakter ASCII tercetak (printable character), mulai dari nilai desimal 33 - 127. Di luar nilai itu, karakter yang ditampilkan hanyalah berupa tanda titik (dot atau period).

Setelah angka 01, dapat dimasukkan nilai untuk mengganti angkat tersebut langsung di belakangnya yang diakhir dengan menekan ENTER atau menekan SPACE BAR untuk berpindah ke alamat berikutnya atau menekan tanda '-' (Hyphen) untuk mundur ke lokasi sebelumnya.

  1. Fill
Fill pada debug berfungsi untuk mengisi lokasi memori. Perbedaan dengan perintah 'E (Enter)', yang menawarkan modifikasi memori secara satu alamt demi satu alamat, sedang 'F (Fill" untuk mengubah isi alamat memori dalam jumlah besar, sesuai dengan rentang (range) yang dikehendaki.

Perintah Go pada debug berfungsi untuk menjalankan program di memori. Anda juga dapat menentukan breakpoint,menyebabkan program untuk berhenti di sebuah alamat yang diberikan.

Breakpoint

adalah 16 - atau 32-bit alamat di mana prosesor harus berhenti, dan startAddr adalah

Format pertama, tanpa parameter, menyiratkan bahwa Anda ingin membaca dari file ke dalam
memori di CS:0100. (Gunakan perintah N untuk nama file.) 


Format kedua juga membaca dari file bernama, namun memungkinkan Anda menentukan alamat target. 


Format ketiga , di mana Anda menentukan nomor drive (0 = A, 1 = B,dll), logical pertama nomor sektor, dan jumlah sektor untuk membaca. 


Setiap sektor adalah 512 byte, sehingga sektor dimuat pada 100 offset akan mengisi memori melalui offset 2FF. sektor logis diberi nomor dari 0 sampai angka tertinggi di sektor drive. Angka-angka ini berbeda dari nomor sektor fisik, yang tergantung pada hardware.

Move pada debug berfungsi untuk memindahkan atau menyalin data yang ada di suatu lokasi memori ke alamat memori lainnya.

Berarti mulai alamat offset 0100 sebanyak 7Fh byte isi memorinya pindahkan atau kopikan ke offset 0200.

Menginisialisasi nama file (dan file blok kontrol) dalam memori sebelum menggunakan
Perintah Load atau Write. Format perintahnya:

Perintah Proceed berfungsi untuk menjalankan satu atau lebih instruksi atau subrutin. Sedangkan T (trace) perintah jejak menjadi panggilan subrutin, perintah P hanya menjalankan subruti, Juga LOOP instruksi dan string instruksi primitif (SCAS, LODS, dll) yang dieksekusi sepenuhnya terserah pada instruksi yang mengikuti mereka.

register pada debug berfungsi untuk menampilkan informasi komposisi register-register di dalam mikroprosesor, alamat memori, serta isi dari alamat memori tersebut yang mungkin berupa instruksi yang akan dilaksanakan oleh komputer, atau data.

AX, BX, CX, DX, SP, BP, SI, DI, DS, ES, SS,CS, dan IP adalah register internal mikroprosesor yang dipakai dalam CPU.

NV, UP, EI, PL, NZ, NA, PO, dan NC adalah output dari sebuah register yang disebut register status atau register flag. 


Angka 29E7:0100 adalah alamat lokasi memori dengan format segment:offset. Kedua nilai tersebut merupakan kombinas antara register CS (Code Segment) dengan IP (Instruction Pointer). 0114 adalah isi alamat memori bersangkutan, byte ke-1 berisi nilai '01', dan byte ke-2 berisi nilai '14'. Karena setiap alamat memori berisi satu byte, tentunya nilai 01 itulah yang berdiam pada alamat offset 0100, sedangkan nilai 14 ada di alamat 0101 ADD[SI],DX adalah terjemahan intruksi dari alamat memori bersangkutan.

Untuk mengubah nilai-nilai register internal dapat menggunakan perintah :
RAX = mengubah nilai register AX
RBX = mengubah nilai register BX
RCX = mengubah nilai register CX
RDX = mengubah nilai register DX
RSP = mengubah nilai register SP
RBP = mengubah nilai register BP
RSI = mengubah nilai register SI
RDI = mengubah nilai register DI
RDS = mengubah nilai register DS
RES = mengubah nilai register ES
RSS = mengubah nilai register SS
RCS = mengubah nilai register CS
RIP = mengubah nilai register IP

Sebagai contoh untuk mengubah nilai register AX dari nilai '0000' ke nilai '1111' :
A:\>Debug (enter)
-RAX (enter)
AX 0000
: 1111 (diisi setelah ':' dan enter)

Contoh diatas juga berlaku untuk register internal lainnya dan untuk diperhatikan bahwa angka-angka yang dimasukkan kedalam register harus nilai heksadesimal.

  1. Search
Search pada debug berfungsi berfungsi untuk mencari data baik yang berupa karakter maupun untaian karakter (string) di dalam suatu blok memori tertentu. Apabila dalam pencarian, data yang dicari diketemukan, maka akan ditampilkan semua alamat dari data tersebut lengkap dengan nilai segment dan offsetnya, sebaliknya bila tidak diketemukan akan kembali ke prompt '-'.

Syntax perintah search : 
S alamat_awal panjang_alamat_akhir

Contoh :
A:\>Debug (enter)
-S F000:E000 L FF "IBM" (enter)
Berarti mulai alamat F000:E000 sebanyak FFh byte cari string "IBM".

-S F000:E000 L FF "A" (enter)
Berarti mulai alamat F000:E000 sebanyak FFh byte cari string "A"..

  1. Trace

Trace pada debug berfungsi untuk menjalankan satu atau lebih instruksi yang dimulai lokasi CS: IP saat ini Atau pada alamat lainnya. Isi dari register akan ditampilkan setelah setiap instruksi dieksekusi. Format perintahnya trace adalah:

T =address count

Di Mana count adalah jumlah instruksi yang akan di Trace, dan address adalah alamat awal untuk trace. Contoh:

Example       Description

T         Trace the next instruction.
T 5       Trace the next fivinstructions.
T =105 10 Trace 16 instructions starting aCS:105.


Command ini men-Trace Iterasi loop secara individu, sehingga Anda mungkin ingin menggunakannya untuk debug dengan sebuah loop.

  1. unassembled
Berfungsi untuk menampilkan listring dari suatu program bahasa mesin.


Contoh :

Beberapa bentuk perintah 'U' :

  1. write

Perintah write pada debug dipakai untuk menulis sebuah blok memori ke sebuah file atau ke sektor disk individu. Untuk menulis Ke sebuah file, nama pertama harus diinisialisasi dengan perintah N (Jika file itu hanya dimuat baik pada command DOS atau dengan command Load, Anda tidak perlu mengulangi namanya . command write mirip dengan perintah (Load) L:

Tempatkan jumlah byte yang akan ditulis dalam BX: CX. Misal jika sebuah file panjangnya 12345h byte, BX dan CX akan berisi nilai berikut:
BX= 0001 CX = 2345

HATI-HATI! Perintah berikut ini sangat berbahaya untuk data pada drive disk Anda, karena menulis pada sektor dapat menghapus file yang ada sistem disk. Gunakan perintah berikut sangat hati-hati!

W 100 2 A 5 Write five sectors to drive C from locationCS:100, starting at logical secto0Ah.
W 100 0 0 2 Write two sectorsto drive A from location CS:100,starting at logicasector number 0.


Dari pembahasan perintah-perintah DEBUG dapat disimpulkan bahwa DEBUG dibuat dengan tujuan untuk dapat mengeksplorasi program-program yang sudah dibuat berikut segala dampaknya terhadap sistem dan aplikasi, sedangkan EMBLY diadakan dengan untuk mempermudah seorang programmer dalam menyusun instruksi-instruksi pada sebuah program yang sedang dibuat.
